Content & Social Media Associate — Video, YouTube & Brand New
About the role
Hands-on content creator who can wear multiple hats — editing video, shooting and packaging YouTube content, running our social media presence, and shaping the Veritect brand online. You will own our content engine end-to-end: from idea, to shoot, to edit, to post, to performance review. A creative, fast-paced role for someone who enjoys building a brand from the ground up, is comfortable working independently, and wants a visible portfolio piece in the legal-tech and AI space.
What you will do
Responsibilities.
- ¶ 01 Plan, shoot, and edit short-form video content for YouTube Shorts, Instagram Reels, LinkedIn, and X.
- ¶ 02 Edit long-form YouTube videos — judgment explainers, legal news breakdowns, product walkthroughs, and founder-led thought leadership.
- ¶ 03 Design thumbnails, carousels, static graphics, and other creative assets for daily social posts.
- ¶ 04 Own Veritect's social media presence across LinkedIn, YouTube, Instagram, and X — scheduling, posting, community engagement, and inbound DMs.
- ¶ 05 Build and execute a weekly and monthly content calendar aligned with product launches, legal news moments, and brand campaigns.
- ¶ 06 Collaborate with in-house legal researchers and content writers to translate complex legal topics into engaging, accessible video and social content.
- ¶ 07 Work with external creators, law students, and guest contributors for interviews, collabs, and influencer content.
- ¶ 08 Track performance metrics (views, engagement, CTR, watch time, follower growth) and iterate on what is working.
- ¶ 09 Stay on top of legal news, pop culture moments, and format trends so we can ship timely, relevant content.
What you will bring
Requirements.
- ¶ 01 2–4 years of hands-on experience in video editing, social media management, or content creation — ideally for a brand, creator, agency, or media company.
- ¶ 02 Strong video editing skills — Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut, DaVinci Resolve, or CapCut. Able to ship polished Shorts, Reels, and long-form YouTube videos independently.
- ¶ 03 Working knowledge of motion graphics and design — After Effects, Canva Pro, or Figma for thumbnails, lower thirds, and social creatives.
- ¶ 04 Good writing instincts — can draft LinkedIn posts, X threads, YouTube titles and descriptions that are crisp, scroll-stopping, and brand-appropriate.
- ¶ 05 Understanding of the YouTube and social algorithms — thumbnail strategy, hooks, pacing, retention, hashtags, posting cadence.
- ¶ 06 Genuine interest in the legal, policy, or education space — you don't need a law background, but you should be curious about the subject matter and willing to learn fast.
- ¶ 07 Self-directed — comfortable owning a calendar, shipping independently, and managing your own time.
Nice to have
Bonus, not required.
- ¶ 01 A public portfolio, YouTube channel, or social handle that demonstrates your work.
- ¶ 02 Prior experience at a legal, policy, education, finance, or thought-leadership brand.
- ¶ 03 Basic understanding of the Indian legal system — courts, cases, statutes.
- ¶ 04 Comfort being on camera occasionally, or coaching others who are.
- ¶ 05 Experience working with creators or managing influencer collaborations.
Why Veritect
What you get in return.
- ¶ 01 Build the content engine of a category-defining legal AI platform from day one.
- ¶ 02 Direct access to a deep bench of legal experts, judgment data, and subject matter to turn into content.
- ¶ 03 Creative freedom to experiment with formats, channels, and voices.
- ¶ 04 Visible portfolio work in a fast-growing legal-tech brand.
