Eligibility criteria
- Must hold a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) degree from a recognised university
- Must have at least 7 years of practice as an advocate in Uttar Pradesh
- Age limit: 21 to 40 years (age relaxation for reserved categories as per UP Government rules)
- Must be a citizen of India and a domicile of Uttar Pradesh

Important notes
- The prelims examination consisted of two papers: Paper I (General Studies — 150 marks) and Paper II (Law — 150 marks), both objective-type (MCQ)
- Candidates who qualify the prelims will be eligible for the Mains examination scheduled for 28 June 2026
- The Mains examination will be descriptive in nature, followed by an interview for shortlisted candidates
